Not only will that chance become a reality this July, in Raleigh NC, but we will be sending the top players to Europe (AT NO CHARGE) for training and trials with the clubs that expressed an interest in them at the combine.

My Experience With Soccer Tryouts

My first experience with a soccer tryouts occurred last summer, when my middle son attended one in Florida. He had been in Europe and had already experienced some hiccups with trials because of COVID.

There were many strong players in attendance. Several of the players were foreign. They had travelled from all over the world. We spoke with families from Nigeria, Chile, Canada.

They invited my son to a “showcase” event. The charge was $3500 in addition to his paying for his own travel. He already had a couple trials lined up, so we opted not to send him.

The experience DID make me want to plan and offer soccer tryouts of my own. I knew I could improve on a few areas.

We decided to partner with Fieldoo, a well-known European company that has a long established network of clubs, scouts and agents. They have held several tours and combines throughout Europe and were open to running one here in the states.

July 27 – 29th will be our first event in Raleigh, NC. The Wake Competition Center is the facility we have selected. You can learn more by clicking here.

We will be testing the players across a few areas. Our soccer tryout testing will include reaction time, speed and vertical jump. In addition, they will participate in training and games.

The coaches for our event will be the coaches and assistant coaches from our represented teams. In addition, Fieldoo staff will be present that has the authority to make decisions for a few other European clubs.
