A Schengen visa is a 90 day visa permitting an individual to travel to any Schengen Area countries. These can be used for purposes of business or tourism. There are 26 countries within what is known as the Schengen area.

Schengen visas are established under something known as the Schengen Agreement. This allows a passport-free zone across most European countries enabling free movement.
